None at all. No screws, no dowells, no Allen wrenches. The interlocking design utilizes the natural weight of the solid wood and precision-cut grooves to create a rock-solid, stable connection automatically.Â
It’s simple: Match the series and the Depth. For example, any 300 Series section with a standard depth will stack perfectly with any other 300 Series section of the same depth – whether it is open, has wood doors, or a glass door.Â
Our interlocking system is incredibly stable. Up to 8 units can be safely stacked on a base. If stacking 6 units or higher, anchoring the units to the wall is recommended.Â
The Base lifts the bookcase off the fllor and provides the foundation. The Crown is the beautifully molded top piece that finishes the look. You only need one Base and one Crown for each vertical column. You can also add a reducing crown to start with a deep section and top with a standard section.Â
