More about the Heritage Barrister Bookcase Standard Depth 314 Glass Receding Door Section:

This antique style lawyer bookcase is hand made in the USA using sustainably sourced North American hardwood. This fully assembled solid wood shelf section securely stacks together with an interlocking system. No tools required – simply unpack and stack the glass door sections in any combination. Easily add more shelf sections as your library grows. The receding glass door sectional unit is well built with a lacquered bronze knob and a mechanical equalizer to keep the door from binding and allow for easy, one-handed operation. Expand upon this shelf section with other Heritage Standard Depth shelf sections, including the media drawer, pull out shelf and more.

About the Heritage Collection Traditional Barrister Bookcases

A fine piece of craftsmanship.

I'm an avid reader with a very large personal library of fine and rare books, small ancient archeological pieces and other curios. My design scheme for my library is Victorian / gaslight era. I have a full stack of barrister sections from Hale (base, 4 tall units, and crown) to accompany my wall to wall custom oak shelving. The quality is unparalleled. They fit together perfectly. I showed my set to a friend who does fine woodworking and he raved over the fine construction and attention to detail. I am more than pleased and feel the stack has added an aesthetic dimension to my library that is dignified and welcoming. I plan to buy more as my library is about at its current shelving capacity. Thank you Hale.
